Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers in response to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
